Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your reservation, you can use the reschedule link in your confirmation email to select a new day and time. Please note that rescheduling must be completed BEFORE your original reservation time. We're happy to reschedule rentals or offer store credit, but there are no refunds on these services. 

Arriving on Time
To help make sure we can accommodate all our guests, we ask that you arrive on time for your reservation. If you're late for your reservation start time, your paddling time will still end at your scheduled reservation completion time. (For example, a 2-hour rental beginning at 1 pm will end at 3 pm, regardless of when guests arrive.) Please remember that we are on Eastern time zone. 

Inclement Weather
If we are unable to open the rental site due to unsafe weather conditions, we will contact you as soon as possible regarding the change in plans, and you'll receive a full credit to reschedule at your convenience.  

Please note that if the rental site is open as usual but you don’t plan to paddle at your scheduled reservation time due to possible weather conditions, you will need to use the reschedule link in your confirmation email to select a new day and time BEFORE your original reservation time. 

Cancellations & Refunds Peek Protect Coverage

Although we are happy to reschedule your reservation or provide credit, there are no refunds on these services.

For guests who would  prefer the option of a refund rather than rescheduling for another date, our reservation software vendor, Peek Pro, provides the option to protect your experience through Peek Protect Coverage. This coverage is ONLY available if booking your reservation online and cannot be added after your booking has already been confirmed. 

What is Peek Protect Coverage?
At check-out, you'll see the option to upgrade your booking to get a fast, full refund if you can't attend due to any of the covered reasons:
– Accident, illness, and pre-existing conditions
– Transport disruptions
– Family or home emergency
– And many more!

If a customer has a covered reason, they can:
– Select the link in their confirmation email or visit the refund portal and enter the Order ID listed in their email to start the refund process. Please note this is not the same as the Booking ID.
– Protect Group handles the review and decision-making directly with the customer.
– Customers can submit a refund request up to 60 days after the activity date, as long as the reason is covered.

To ensure prompt service, all questions should be directed to Peek Protect, not to Third Coast Paddling. In the event of difficulties understanding or using Peek Protect, please click here for convenient ways to reach them directly. 

Age Requirements
Kids under the age of 18 - cannot paddle alone without someone over 18 in the group.
Kids age 12 and older - can paddle their own kayak or paddleboard if accompanied by a parent or guardian in another kayak or on another paddleboard.
Kids under the age of 12 - can ride in a double kayak only if accompanied by an adult; there is no age limit, and it is up to the parent’s/guardian’s discretion.

We have a limited amount of kids’ life jackets that fit most kids starting as young as age 3. (You’re also welcome to bring your own life jacket for your little ones if they already have jackets they're comfortable wearing!)

All paddlers sign a liability waiver, including the parent/guardian for each child.
